If you love to do everything as a couple, why not splurge this holiday season on a pair of gifts you can both enjoy. Get a pair of his and hers lounging chairs and count on spending some quality time together. Best of all, if you want to go to the beach or a tailgate party – y0u can easily take your chairs along for the ride.
The Geneva design, Adirondack chair is great example of just such a chair. This chair is made to last and it’s construction is from redwood trees that are at least 100 years old before harvesting. The frame of these chairs is made from two-inch thick boards, providing a sturdy base for the rest of the chair that is bolted together with top quality stainless steel fastening elements. No glue or nails are used in the construction of these lounging chairs.
Redwood is an easy to care for wood type as well. On the average, redwood will last an average of ten to thirty years (depending where you live and the extremes of weather) with little to no care. However, if you keep your redwood furniture clean and if your furniture gets a large amount of dirt and grime, you can carefully use a powerwasher, you can thoroughly clean your furniture but always use the water in the direction of the woodgrain and you can have beautiful redwood furniture for years to come.

If you don’t live in one of the colder zones of the US, your garden will be a great place to host a gathering of your family and/or friends. One of the best things about a garden party is that it can be a grandiose affair or a more casual and laid-back gathering, it’s just a matter of how you wish to plan it. .
If you have a great yard that you would like to show off, then by all means have the party at your home. An alternative would be to check out public parks and gardens in your area. Some of these may require you to reserve an area so be sure you plan it long enough in advance or have an alternate date. If you are planning to have it at your yard or the yard of a friend or relative here are a few ideas to help your party be a memorable event.
If you plan on having a large tent, (it is advisable to make sure you have shade or cover) have them set it up 2 days before your party. That way if it rains a day or two before, the ground under the tent has a much better chance of remaining dry. You can also use the extra time to figure out how you want to decorate and getting a head start on doing so.
Now for the seating and mingling areas. If you’re having a large gathering, you’ll find that many places rent tables and chairs, if you rent a tent check with them, they will point you in the right direction. If you are having a smaller gathering, your own outdoor furniture should be more than adequate for seating for everyone in attendance.
Those are just a few ideas for garden party, if you’re hosting a get together whether large or small, use these tips to pull it off and have a great time instead of agonizing over plans.
