patio furniture is different from purchasing indoor furniture

Purchasing patio furniture is different from purchasing indoor furniture for a few reasons.  First, patio furniture is subjected to different kinds of wear and tear and, if made poorly, can begin to disintegrate very quickly.  So it is important that you investigate quality before you purchase your patio furniture.  The best way to do this is to ask plenty of questions.  Ask both the seller and the manufacturer about construction details of their patio furniture.  Ask them for specific features that make their products more durable and resistant to the elements.  In the case of teak wood, for example, old-growth teak is more durable than teak coming from young trees unless the young teak is kiln dried.  These specifics will help you decide what products are worth paying more for.  Also ask your patio furniture dealer how to best care for your patio furniture.  Some woods, for example, require regular waxing or oiling to prevent environmental damage.  Once you have gotten answers to these questions, you can make an educated decision.  You will also have a good idea of what to expect from your patio furniture and can take the proper steps to ensure that it lasts as long as it should.
