Wooden benches are ideal for outdoor locations. Wood such as teak, redwood, cedar and cypress are widely used to make outdoor wooden benches whereas pine may be good for indoor benches. Teak contains natural oil that enables it to resist moisture and brave rough weather conditions. It is also highly termite resistant. A wood bench can come with intricate carvings, or it may be deliberately designed to look rugged. A carved bench may be more suitable for indoor areas and for your patio, but a ruggedly designed one may blend well with the tree trunks in your garden. If you have a beautiful garden, it deserves a wood bench or maybe two of them. Not too many, as they may look out of place.
