Looking for a gift for someone on your holiday list that is tough to buy for? You will usually find that the hard to buy for people tend to fall into two main groups:

(1) those wonderful people that are gracious as can be when you ask, “What would you really like?” and they always answer with something along the lines of , “Oh nothing, I can think of”.

(2) or the other group of hard to buy for people that see something they want throughout the year and if they see something that they want, they buy it.

Both of these types make it difficult to get them a present and it’s a major undertaking if the gift recipient is very conservative and would prefer if his or her presents also be presented in the same light with having a function. “Fun” and amusing gifts are usually lost on these types – however don’t despair, there are some wonderful gifts you can get your hard to buy for person.

First of all, what colors do they wear the most? You can get them an accessory to match their usual daytime outfit. Gloves are often appreciated and used throughout the winter months. Another idea for gifts is if your recipient collects anything. From figurines to thimbles to vintage magazines – you can come up with something to tickle their fancy.

An item for a their home is also a good idea. If you aren’t sure what the interior of their home looks like, get them an item for their garden area. A bench, adirondack rocking chair to lounge in or an accent table to hold a drink while they lounge and read on a warm day will all be appreciated.

And those are just a few of the tips to make your holiday gifting just a little bit easier.
